If you need a replacement CO₂ cylinder for a Zip™ sparkling water system, the key question is which Zip™ cylinder format your system uses.
Zip™ uses CO₂ cylinders across both HydroTap® sparkling systems and the ChillTap® Chilled, Sparkling system. Although there are numerous Zip™ tap models and configurations, that does not mean there are hundreds of different replacement cylinders.
Zip™ currently identifies two CO₂ cylinder sizes in its Australian compatibility guidance: the smaller 2.2L cylinder, order code 91295, and the larger 4.0L cylinder, order code 93179. The regulator arrangements also differ between these formats.
EcoVenza's 2.2L CO₂ cylinder is compatible with Zip™ sparkling replacement cylinder part #91295.
Which CO₂ Cylinders Do Zip™ Sparkling Water Systems Use?
For current Australian Zip™ systems, the important distinction is between two cylinder formats.
| Zip™ CO₂ Cylinder | Order Code | Cylinder Format | Regulator |
|---|---|---|---|
| Smaller cylinder | 91295 | 2.2L | Pre-set regulator with black lever |
| Larger cylinder | 93179 | 4.0L | Larger dual-gauge regulator |
Zip™ identifies 91295 as its smaller cylinder supplied in a twin pack and 93179 as its larger cylinder. Because the cylinders differ in dimensions and regulator requirements, they should not be treated as interchangeable formats.
This distinction also explains why identifying the replacement cylinder number can be more useful than identifying the appearance of the tap alone.
Is The EcoVenza CO₂ Cylinder Compatible With My Zip™ System?
If your Zip™ sparkling water system uses replacement cylinder 91295, EcoVenza's 2.2L CO₂ cylinder is a compatible replacement.
Our 2.2L CO₂ cylinder:
-
Uses the 2.2L cylinder format.
-
Contains food-quality-grade CO₂.
-
Is compatible with most M10 CO₂ regulators and sparkling water systems.
-
Is compatible with Zip™ sparkling replacement cylinder part #91295.
This compatibility applies specifically to 91295. It should not be extended to Zip™'s larger 93179 cylinder, which is a different 4.0L format requiring a larger dual-gauge regulator.
Which Zip™ Systems Use The 91295 CO₂ Cylinder?
Zip™ uses 91295 across both HydroTap® and ChillTap® sparkling-water systems.
Zip™'s current 91295 product information describes the replacement kit as suitable for Zip™ HydroTap® or Zip™ ChillTap® and containing two 2.2L cylinders.
Current residential sparkling HydroTap® models also list 91295 among their compatible consumables. This includes sparkling configurations across ranges such as Arc Plus, Cube Plus, Elite Plus and Celsius.
Zip™ HydroTap® Sparkling Systems
Zip™ offers multiple HydroTap® models capable of dispensing sparkling water, including systems providing:
-
Chilled and sparkling filtered water.
-
Boiling, chilled and sparkling filtered water.
-
Sparkling water combined with hot and cold mixer functionality on selected Celsius configurations.
Different tap designs do not automatically mean different CO₂ cylinders. Current residential sparkling HydroTap® product information across several ranges identifies 91295 as the replacement cylinder.
Zip™ ChillTap® Chilled, Sparkling
HydroTap® is not Zip™'s only sparkling-water system.
The Zip™ ChillTap® Chilled, Sparkling, product code CT1003-1, is an under-bench system supplying chilled still and sparkling filtered drinking water. Zip™ identifies 91295 as its sparkling replacement cylinder.
This is why compatibility is best determined using the Zip™ sparkling-water system and cylinder reference rather than assuming every 91295 application is a HydroTap®.
What About Zip™ 93179 CO₂ Cylinders?
Zip™'s second cylinder format is 93179, its larger 4.0L cylinder.
This cylinder requires a larger dual-gauge regulator, compared with the pre-set black-lever regulator associated with the smaller 91295 cylinder.
Current commercial HydroTap® configurations provide examples of where 93179 appears. Several higher-capacity commercial sparkling HydroTap® systems use 93179 as their sparkling replacement cylinder.
EcoVenza's 2.2L CO₂ cylinder is compatible with Zip™ 91295, not the larger 93179 format. If your existing system uses 93179, our 2.2L cylinder should not be treated as a compatible replacement.
How To Identify Which Zip™ CO₂ Cylinder You Have
The most useful identifier is the replacement cylinder or order code, rather than the appearance of the tap or cylinder alone.
Look For 91295 Or 93179
Check your existing cylinder information, previous orders, system documentation or consumable information for a Zip™ order code.
If you find 91295, you are dealing with Zip™'s smaller 2.2L format.
If you find 93179, you have the larger 4.0L format.
Check The Cylinder Size
The two formats are physically different:
-
91295: 2.2L cylinder.
-
93179: 4.0L cylinder.
Cylinder size can provide another useful clue when the part number is not immediately visible.
Check The Regulator
The regulator provides another practical way to distinguish the two formats.
The smaller Zip™ 91295 cylinder uses a pre-set regulator with a black lever, while the larger 93179 cylinder requires a dual-gauge regulator.
If you are unsure which cylinder is installed, checking the regulator arrangement alongside the cylinder information can help narrow down the format.
Do Not Rely On Label Appearance Alone
Zip™ has changed its CO₂ label designs, so cylinders may look different depending on when they were supplied.
Use the part number, cylinder format and regulator arrangement rather than relying on label appearance alone.
91295 Vs 93179: Why The Difference Matters
The two Zip™ cylinder numbers represent different CO₂ setups rather than alternative names for the same replacement.
91295 is the smaller 2.2L format and uses Zip™'s pre-set regulator arrangement. 93179 is the larger 4.0L format and requires a dual-gauge regulator.
This means asking whether a cylinder is simply "Zip™ compatible" is not specific enough.
The more useful question is:
Does my Zip™ sparkling water system use cylinder 91295 or 93179?
If your system uses Zip™ 91295, EcoVenza's 2.2L CO₂ cylinder is a compatible replacement.
Can Any Food-Grade CO₂ Cylinder Be Used With A Zip™ System?
The type of CO₂ and the compatibility of the physical cylinder setup are separate considerations.
Zip™ advises that food-grade CO₂ designed for beverages can be used with a HydroTap® sparkling unit provided the appropriate regulator is attached.
That does not mean every food-grade CO₂ cylinder can be connected directly to every Zip™ sparkling system.
Cylinder format and regulator compatibility still matter. Our 2.2L cylinder removes that uncertainty for Zip™ 91295 users because it is specifically compatible with the 91295 cylinder format.
What If I Cannot Find The 91295 Part Number?
Not finding 91295 printed prominently on your current cylinder does not automatically mean you have a different format.
Zip™ has updated its CO₂ cylinder labelling over time, so appearance may vary.
If the part number is unclear:
-
Check previous replacement-cylinder orders or invoices.
-
Review the consumable information for your Zip™ system.
-
Check whether your existing cylinder is the smaller 2.2L or larger 4.0L format.
-
Look at the regulator arrangement.
-
Confirm the cylinder reference before purchasing if the information remains inconclusive.
This is more reliable than attempting to determine compatibility from the shape or label design alone.
